Don’t Lose This…You’ll Never Get It Back!

I have been increasing my study of the massively successful entrepreneurs. Those that are around now, and those that have already passed. It’s truly amazing what you can learn by studying those that have figured out the keys to success.
One of the common themes I am finding is that every entrepreneur who is massively successful understands how important it is to get as much out of everyday as humanly possible.
Now that doesn’t mean you must work your fingers to the bone, get 2 hours of sleep a night, and never see your family & friends. Actually it means just the opposite.
Every time you wake up in the morning you have a gift that God has given you. You have another 24 hours to do with as you wish. Everyone gets the same 24 hours, but the difference from those that have massive success and those that don’t is what they do with the gift of another day.
Once the day is gone, you never ever get it back. It doesn’t matter who you are, how popular you are, or how much money you have. Once it’s gone it’s gone…Forever.
So my point here and my hope is that rather than just reading this post and going about your business, you take a real honest look inside yourself and decide not to let another gift slip through your fingers.
There are things you know you need to do. It’s very easy to put things off till tomorrow. After all, what’s the big deal; it’s only another day…right? Wrong. That is exactly the attitude that drives people into complacency and procrastination, and eventually out of business before they even get a good start.
So how do you get the most out of your 24 hrs so you don’t waste what God has given you. Below are a few strategies to ensure you are getting the most of your gift.
- Make a “to do list” for the following day.
- Organize your list into those that must be done, should be done, and those that would just be nice to get done.
- Paste this on your mirror or another place you will see it when you wake up in the morning.
- Focus your attention on getting through as much of your list as possible. Don’t worry if you don’t get to everything. The point here is to get to work on those important tasks that will place you into profits.
- At the end of the day, review your list for the day. Add anything to the next day’s list as appropriate.
- Rinse and repeat every single day.
I would also suggest keeping your lists and referring back to them now and again. You will be amazed at how much you get completed by doing such a simple strategy as described above.
Today is the day you can change your entire life. Get a clear picture of where you want to be and write that down with a date of when you want to achieve it. Make a promise to yourself that today will be your day.
p.s. Don’t forget to comment below. I’d love to hear what you do to get the most out of every day.

Hi Glen,
Thanks for reminding us of the entrepreneurial mindset when we start to get a little lacks in accomplishing our todo list.
I use Mark Joyner’s time management tool, Simpleology 101 which keeps me focused.

Hi Glen,
Great blog you have and I really liked this post. The six step process you describe above is exactly what I do and it works like a dream. When I review my list for the day I make sure I acknowledge myself for what I have achieved which removes the focus from what I may have missed out.
